Error Message with RCv3

Featured Replies

Hello All!I received my copy of RCv3.0 and am unable to execute the program. Here is the problem: I have FS2002 runing, I attempt to load either an FS2002 flight plan that was created with Nav3.0 or one of the APL plans I created with RCv2.2. I have all the options set and I get an error message "IPC request contains bad data"!!!! I have tried to change the plans etc but no luck.I have an AMD atlonXP running with DirectX 8.2 using nvidia drivers 40.90 (Windows certified), fsuip2.94. Everything else works without RC3. Any suggestions from Rick, Scott etc would be greatly appreciated!Thabk you: Jeremy ColeP.S. I could not find this discussed in the manual!

is fs200x running, when you are running rc?

Hi JD!Thanks for answering so quickly! YES, flight fs2002 is running and then I start RCv3. Just one thought, I have FS2002 loaded on a separate drive partition that RCv3. I don't think that should matter but maybe it is important. Still "no joy" getting RCv3 to run. Thanks Jeremy

the drive shouldn't matter.you get the error when you click start rc?maybe, try shutting fs2002, rc. then delete fsuipc.ini in the fs2002modules directorystart fs2002, then rcv3.try it again.i'm looking up the error now.anything else running with fs2002?

THANKS JD!!!!The problem is solved!!! You were right... it did involve the fsuip ini file. I deleted the dll & ini files, reinstalled, and now all is well. Plese let everyone know about this as a potential problem. You must excuse me please...I have a flight to catch!!!!!Very grateful: Jeremy Cole
