listen to the pilots in 91-98. if you like one of them better than me (1), then just copy and replace all the files in 1 with the files in your favorite directory (91 - 98)

John,Along a similar question: If I fly US-domestic only, what do I need to change/rename/overwrite to have only American controller voices?I would like to save the international files for when I move up beyond my DreamFleet 737-400 to something long-range.Thanks for a truly great product!!Joe Purpura

Joe, Here is what I did: Made a backup copy of the winwood folder (burn to cd or leave on HD if you have room) Now in your rcwinwood folders you can change all you want. Just copy/paste/overwrite from any folder you like into the ones you want to change. If you again want international voices, you could simply swap your backup winwood folder for the changed one and vice versa. :-)Robclarification: without the full compliment of all 9 different controllers you will hear the same controller voice on cd,gnd, twr, dep, app more often but this may be worth it to you.

Pat,Let me know which one you choose and I'll post an unprocessed set for you. I have Juliana and Jeff available already. Go to the Flight Deck's RCv3 page to see what's there. You can also DL and scripts and recording utility and record yourself as the pilot and/or controller.

First off, let me say that all of the team put in a lot of time recording, so I'm hesitant to suggest how to take anyone out. However, being a nice, helpful guy..You can choose which controllers and pilots you want to use without removing any of the others. You have to rename some directories however.Rules:Controllers begin at 2 and go to 50 sequentially.Pilots begin at 98 and descend to 60 sequentially.ANY break is where RC stops looking. So if you only want controllers 2, 3, 4, and 5, rename 6 to 6stop. Now RC will only cycle through 2, 3, 4 and 5. All other controllers thereafter are ignored. So, if you want all the "American" controller voices (I presume that's the "Classic Midwest-American non-accent accent"), then you need 3, 4, 6, 7, 8, and 9.Here's where it gets complicated.
BACK UP YOUR CONTROLLER DIRECTORIES 2-10
Rename 2 to 8org.Rename 5 to 9org.Rename 9 to 2.Rename 8 to 5.Now you should have: 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8org, 9org, 10.Names in order: James, Scott, Larry, Rob, Sidney, Doug, GJ, Francesco, John. When you want all of them, rename 8org to 8, and 9org to 9. When you want to take out the "foreign" voices again, rename 8 to 8org.

Thanks for the offer Scott. I have downloaded and I am using the Jeff Evans sounds from FS FlightDeck as my pilot. I find these are much clearer and easier to understand being unprocessed though of course Jeff has nothing like an English accent. To be honest I am not too sure with the processing who is the English voice. I also downloaded the files to enable my own recording but when I attempted this I found my microphone was not recording with enough volume, so I will have to get this sorted. Please don't think I have anything against the American accent but when all around me is chaos, I am trying to program the PSS airbus flight manager the commands are coming in quicker than the brain can cope I then need an accent that is familiar cos I don't have time to ask for a repeat transmission.OK I know in real life a pilot must adapt to all accents but in real life they wouldn't let me near an airbus.Best Regards

Pat,If you look in the pilot directoried 98 downto 91 you will see who recorded. Play a few of the wavs and you'll who who has which voice.

Thank you for the info. It sounds easier, for me at least, to pull my PIC 767 out of storage and do international!Joe(KORD)
