First flight en impressions with RC3

Featured Replies

Yesterday I received my copy of RC3 and installed it (full install) on my laptop (PIII600 winXP) and widefs.I experienced the slow voice problem but I think I know why : widefs is using 80% of my cpu, I think I'm going to try to use it with TCP instead of IPX. There were a serious drop in framrate too on my FS2002 machine (AMD 1.4Ghz 512M DDRram GeForceDDR) because of widefs too. This problem will be fixed I think and is not RC3's fault.Anyway, I have a question regarding RC3 and FSATC :My laptop has a full install of rc3 and separate speakers to hear rc3 atc. On my FS2002 machine, I have my home-cinema speakers for FS2002 sounds. The problem is : when I switch frequencies in rc3, it automatically switch to the new one, and it is often the same as FS2002 frequencie (tower, ground, dep ...) so I hear both at the same time !! I know rc3 is using COM1, but if COM1 is set to a frequencie recognized by FS2002, the FSATC automatically speaks!I'm only using PIC767 and didn't know how to hear only RC3 on my laptop and FSATC on COM2 (where is COM2 on PIC767 ?? didn't find it...) and only when I want it.Another problem, I was vectored at EGLL for rwy 9L but there was a lot of AI traffic in departure, I think th only way is to ask for rwy 9R right ?Best regards,Guillaume
