Flight from KLIT to KBNA I give Otto the plane and comms shortly after takeoff. 49 miles from KBNA Otto leaves frequency to get weather. Landing and departing runway 31. The ADV display box now shows runway 31 and the frequency 111.30. The actual fequency should be 111.95.40 miles from KBNA Otto contacts approach and is told to expect vectors for runway 31. Otto sets the nav 1 radio to 111.30. At this point I take the commms back and try changing the frequency to 111.95. The 111.95 will show up as stand-by but when I switch it to active it comes up in the active box for a few seconds and then both active and standy-by frequencies change back to 111.30. Almost like Otto is still handling the comms.Only after we turn to intercept the ILS and I take the plane back will the nav 1 radio accept the 111.95 frequency. Why would the frequency be 111.30 instead of the correct fequency of 111.95?Why wouldn't it accept the changes after I took the comms back?I was flying the Falcon 50 CAEA by Yannick Lavigne, Fred Banting and Rob Young. Never had any problems with this aircraft before. It was also the first flight after creating the high priorty bat file start up for ME.Just CuriousDoc G

pilot handles the navsco-pilot handles the commswe didn't want the co-pilot switching the navs on the pilot and flying wherever he wanted to go :-)

Thanks JD. Thats clears up a couple of things.Still wondering why the wrong frequency gets assigned to rny 31. With Otto flying and nav 1 set to 111.30 the ILS is never intercepted.Doc G

Do you have 3rd party scenery for the airport?RC uses a database for things like ils frequencies based on the default scenery.I just had a similar thing happen with some 3rd party scenery for Hamburg: ils in the scenery was 111.10, ils in the default scenery 111.3All the best,John

Doc,Because it is clearly the way it's in database. RC doesn't know a thing about FS or what freqs are really used in it.You need to edit the r.txt file to fix it. I highly recommend making a back-up first. If you mess this file up, RC won't run.

Thanks Scott.Opened KBNA in AFCAD and took a look at the navaids. Then opened r.txt and compared it's KBNA frequencies to the ones AFCAD listed. In r.txt runway 31 was assigned 111.30 instead of the correct frequency of 111.95. That was the cause of my original problem. Made that change as well as a couple of others. Wasn't sure if I needed to but I drew up another flight plan exactly the same, gave it another name and made the trip with no problems. Thanks again.Happy HoildaysDoc G

John,No 3rd party scenery at this airport. Took Scott's suggestion and looked at the r.txt file. Found one bad frequency and several missing for kbna in the r.txt file. Changed the bad and added the missing. That took care of the problem.Appreciate the replyDoc G
