December 24, 200223 yr I've just completed my first flight with RC3 and I'm very impressed..... you did a great job guys. :-beerchugI have two questions, one relating to RC and the other not but hopefully someone may be able to help. ;)1. I am running FS2002 & RC on an Athlon XP 2100+, Asus A7V333 Mobo with 256mb 333mhz DDR Ram on Win XP Pro. Ain't got a clue if any of that is relevant or not? :-lol I was told to move onto runway and be ready for take off and I waited :-hmmm.............. and waited :-hmmm :-hmmm.......... and waited................ and waited :-hmmm :-hmmm :-hmmmIn total I sat there for more than 5 minutes before I was cleared to take off. Yes, I was positioned on the runway with my parking brakes set. Is this normal or is there something I missed?2. This is to do with the CH Virtual Pilot Pro and the Win XP Drivers that I d/loaded a while ago either from Avsim or CH site. I installed the new drivers and then calibrated the yoke and everything worked fine. The problem arises with the throttle control when I use it in Flightsim. A few revs to move the aircraft is ok then when I cut the revs..... or try..... the throttle control on the panel doesn't go all the way back and I have to drag the throttle back with my mouse otherwise my speed increases. Any advice welcomed. :-zhelp :-zhelpMerry Christmas & a Happy New Year to everyone.Mike
December 24, 200223 yr Commercial Member 1) that is way too long. the trigger for clearance to take off is when you are +/- 15 degrees of runway heading. were you angled? or straight down the runway? JD Read my blog
December 24, 200223 yr JD, I've waited for a couple of minutes a few times but never this long. Gives me a chance to look over my checklists and makes you pay attention amongst all the chatter making sure you don't miss your cleerance when it does come! LOL Being +/- 15 degrees of runway hdg is still the trigger but the call is not immediate nor has it been for a long time. You may remember the discussion where some felt the T/O clearance came much to soon. I believe the delay is random but don't know if there's a min/max set for it in RC. Lining up on the wrong runway can complicate things too! ;-) 5 minutes is way too long. Could be a number of things but I'd like to hear if it happens again or this was a one time thing.Best, Rob
December 24, 200223 yr I was lined up with the centre line of the active runway. I will try again later on and check it out. It was more than likely me anyway :-bangMike
