I've just tried my first trans atlantic flight with version 3.I thought I'd re-create the Airport (film) flight of a 707 from Newark to Rome.I have the HJG 707 and Paul Goldings panel, I also ran Lago's FSMaint program for good measure.My problems are three fold:1. Although I set my aircraft type as heavy, I couldn't find the option to ask for 250Kt relief on the menu's once RC started. I found the correct menu, but no option. Why?2. Flying with OTTO FSMaint reported an incorrect altimeter setting during the cruise. Is this normal with OTTO and older panels/aircraft?. (The gauge did show that the pressure wasn't set to 29.92, but OTTO refused to set it correctly.)3. My decent into Rome had to be alot shallower than RC expected, I wasn't given any crossing restrictions though. The problems started mounting up when I was told to expect delay vectors automatically even though I was in control and not OTTO.I didn't get any! I was still well above 10,000 passing my last check point and I'm assuming RC couldn't cope, although it steadfastly told me to continue on my current heading right past Rome and on into Egypt! I gave up in the end and delcared minimum fuel.I was then cleared direct back to my airport, although this wasn't the end of it. I wasn't handed off to Approach until I had overflown my destination (still at 10,000) and then imediatley handed off to Arrival and vectored for the ILS.All in all very messy. Has anyone else had similar problems?RegardsMark

1) what do you mean you found the right menu, but no option. you are setting heavy on the rc options page, right?2) was it set to 29.91? not familiar with fsmaint, maybe someone else is running it.3) no crossing restriction? now that is hard to believe. i think you missed it. have you flown any of the tutorials, which discuss the crossing restrictions?did you get the delay vectors at 70 miles from the airport or at 40?maybe you should let otto fly this flight, and watch him do the crossing restriction. he always makes it! :-)fly a couple of tutorials, read the tutorial section for each tutorial, and then try the flight again

I load my flight plan and check my controller information and then check the options page.The heavy option is checked and my call sign clearly says heavy.I progress through the ground, clearance and tower controllers without any problems.After take off I contact departure. On the 'next' (option 9) menu for departure I can check Wx and declare an emergency. After flying for a couple of miles and extra option appears to return to my take off field. I may not have heard it or my poor laptop may have had a hard time trying to process it all. I'm checking again.> did you get the delay vectors at 70 miles from the airport or at 40?The delay vectors came at 70 miles, although I had told OTTO I wanted control before this, again my laptop could just have been slow and not processed my commands fast enough> maybe you should let otto fly this flight, and watch him do the crossing restriction. he always makes it! Nice Idea, but OTTO can't set the decent rate on the panel, its not automatic like the default panels are. To get around the problem, I'm setting my 'pause at' distance further back, before the decent starts. if the last checkpoint is not a VOR/VORTAC, or it is more than 5 miles from the airport, you will not get a choice. you will always get delay vectors.looking at 250

250 knots is working fine.but i bet i know why it isn't working on your machine!look on your options page of rcwhere it says 250 alt, what do you have?it should say 10000jd
