Saving Flights

Featured Replies

Regarding saving flights, on my system RC3 locks up every time about halfway during the saving process. The status bar stops and RC3 must be ended by task manager and started again to continue without saving. I scanned through the threads for a simular problem without success. Therefore, I guess this problem is my problem alone. Is their any relation of the RC3 save/load to the save flight program in FS? Help from anyone out there on where to look for solution would be appreciated. Robert

do you have a rcv3saved directory?are there any .dat files in there?is the directory read only?are there any .flt, .wx in your fs2002flightsmyflts directory?did you move the flight simulator directory without uninstalling it and installing it again?

Hi Robert,Probably irrelevant but if you are running RC on a second machine using widefs make sure that the sharing options for the myflights folder allows network users to change the files. All the best,John

I'm afraid I stated the problem as "save" when it should have been stated "load". Save works ok. I do have .dat files. When I try to load any of them, the status bar stops halfway and RC3 stops responding very consistantly. I might have transferred FS from my C to D disk. If I install FS on D will I lose all of my add-on's? Robert
