Still the same weather

Featured Replies

This is a problem that I reported here not too long ago, in which I found the departure weather to be the same throughout my entire flight.Today I tried a flight from New York to Atlanta, using Weather Center 1.2 expert version which I purchased and downloaded. I set the weather to lock on to Atlanta, yet again, Radar Contact used the departure weather, in this case New York, when I landed.Jose

well, something is going wrong, obviously.what version of fsuipc? click fsuipc on the modules menu, and read the version off of there. some people think they have one version, but a different version is being loaded.if you don't have a lot of customization in your fsuipc.ini, delete the file, and let it be re-created the next time you start fs2002.what is the distance weather center is locking at?is the weather at atlanta the same as new york? what i mean is, is rc reporting new york weather, even thought the weather that fs2002 is showing for atlanta is atlanta's weather?

The FSUIPC version that I have is 2.95. I do not have anything customized in that file.I am telling Weather Center to lock on to Atlanta's weather 100 nm out. Not only was the arrival weather reported similar to New York, the arrival weather actually looked like New York. I tried a manual set to Atlanta with Weather Center, to no avail.Atlanta's weather was supposed to have an altimeter above 30.00, but the altimeter reported in RC's arrival ATIS was the same as New York, which was 29.75.I apologize for constantly bugging you like this but I do appreciate your assistance.Jose

what i'm trying to figure out, is the weather program changing the weather? or is rc not reporting the weather correctly?you say the weather in atlanta looks like it did in new york. makes me think the weather program isn't getting it's weather into flight sim correctly.next time you try this (i hope you are saving dats and loading :-) ) when atlanta's weather is being reported as new york numbers, look in flight simulators advanced weather, and see if flight simulator's weather agrees with what the weather program says it should be.just for grins, re install the advdisp.dll from a zip file. you can download it from schiratti.com (url is in the anchored post at the top of the forum)

jd,I am having a similar problem with FSMeteo, although I did not pay close attention to the similarties in weather, since I was making shorter flights. However, what I noticed is that RCv3 kept indicating to me an altimeter setting equal to my departing airport, although MS ATC was providing me the right arrival airport altimeter setting as downloaded by FSMeteo. It has happened twice already, and I don't recall having had this problem before. Thanks,EO

JD, I do not use any add on weather programs, just the downloaded real weather from FS 2002. When I did the first tutorial, the weather in Chicago was announced in ATIS as being identical to the departure, but when I got there it was markedly different despite what ATIS said.I use FSUIPC 2.95 as well.Greg
