INSTALL PROBLEM

Featured Replies

Hello everyone.I just received my copy of RCV3 and attempted to install the program, but received a "I/O error 23" message; therefore, the program will not install. I have the following hardware: P4 2.4ghz, 533mhz cpu, 512mb 333mhz ram, 120gb hard drive(with raid), sound blaster audigy card, 56x cd rom(master),yamaha crw-f1 burner(slave), asus p4pe motherboard, asus ti4200 video card. I am using nero 5.6 and the lastest version of in-cd. I have tried both cds and when I double click the "rcv30" icon I receive the "I/O error 23" message. The only thing I have not tried is uninstalling nero and in-cd, and then attempt another install. I am using windows 2000 pro. Thanks for your help.

if you have two rc cd's, what are the odds that both of them are bad? do you have another machine you can try the cd's in?

Yes, I have another machine I can try to install to. I will try this on 1-22-03.

Okay, I tried the install on another computer and the install worked fine. I uninstalled in-cd and ahead nero software and took my Yamaha burner out of the loop. I then rebooted and put RCV3 into my 56x cd-rom and presto it installed without any errors(go figure). As soon as I get my key I will be up and running.
