AdvDisp and strange weather effects

Featured Replies

A few weeks back, a thread (that I cannot seem to find now) discussed that some users had noticed that after installation of RC3 the visibility would momentarily change to infinite when they changed views. It was more or less concluded that AdvDisp had something to do with it, and someone mentioned that he had discussed the matter with Pete Dowson. There was no final conclusion or solution at that point. In the meantime, I have investigated the matter into some depth, and have found that:1. Not only visibility is affected, winds are too.2. It only happens when AdvDisp is docked or when an undocked AdvDisp window is moved or resized. This I reported to Pete about a week ago, and he replied:"There's really nothing at all that AdvDisplay can be doing to cause such a weird phenomemon. It sounds more likely some weird relationship with the video drivers. But I am re-writing AdvDisplay anyway at present, so please be patient and try that when I release it (sometime in February)."Fair enough, although a bit disappointing since I was 100% sure about point 2 above. The day before yesterday, Pete sent me a beta version of his new AdvDisp release to try out.And ... (roll of drums), THE PROBLEM IS GONE! :-jumpyApart from this, I think that ADvDisp 2.0 will knock your socks off :-)
