February 21, 200323 yr I thought about sending this enquiry to Rick, but will ask here where the great and the good hang out.I have recently partitioned my HD and FS2000 (yes I know nobody uses it any longer)now resides on E:P FilesMicrosoft GamesFS2000. Today I have reinstalled my trusty RC 2.1 from CD, first problem was APLC32 could not find any Flightsim on computer,RCv2.1 was installed in EProgram Files. When I clicked to open RC from icon got 'error RC101 unable to locate Microsoft Flight Simulator or one of its components on this computer'.I was of the impression that RC found where FS resided from the registry whilst installing, maybe I'm wrong, so how do I let it know where FS2000 is.I reinstalled FS2000 about 3/4 days ago, and it has not been moved at all from it's original location. Any advice would be greatly appreciated, I've hunted through the old archives in the old forum but no luck, I don't want to have to reinstall FS on C: if I can possibly help it.Regards Dave
February 21, 200323 yr Commercial Member if you look in the advgen.log file, you will see where rc thinks fs2000 is installed. or post it here.jd JD Read my blog
February 21, 200323 yr jd, thanks for the very prompt reply, there is no path indicated alongside FS2000 in the advgen log, should I put in E:Program FilesMicrosoft GamesFS200 ?. Thanks Dave
February 21, 200323 yr jd, further to my previous post, I've got it sorted,I'd forgotten that yesterday I had to a Reg Restore, and I have a utility which enables you restore the registry from up to 14 days previously. I have obviously put the registry back to a pre FS2000 so RC couldn't get the required info.Have reinstalled FS2000 and installed RC2.1 without a hitch, am I stupid or what? thanks for the help, just have to email Rick for a new key.Dave
