March 8, 200323 yr Hello Gang!I have downloaded the RCWavUpdates available out there, but unfortunately, nowhere it instructs how to apply them or install them. I don't want to screw up my RC installation; can someone please direct me to where I can get some instructions of where I can update these wav updates? Thanks in advance!Sincerely,Dennis D. March 8, 200323 yr Moderator Hi Dennis,You should unzip them to your winwood folder but make sure that you have "Use Folder Names" set in WinZip and they'll drop into their respective sub-folders.Hope that helps,Cheers, Ray (Cheshire, England). March 9, 200323 yr Additionally, if you are using any other pilot/co-pilot than the defauts, you will have to copy the updated wavs from the additional directories to the 0 and 1 directories. For example, if you are using Juliana for you CP, then move the files from 0-jj to 0.I know I should include a readme, but I'm lazy. ;-)Also, if you did not get the updates from the Flight Deck where did you get them?
March 10, 200323 yr I unzipped the updated wav files into RCV30winwood as directed and that is where they are, in the winwood directory. All files are dated 1/23/2003. I don't think that is where they belong. If I select "Use Folder Names" are the files put in different places? I guess I don't quite understand what is happening here. How can I tell if the files are in the correct place? Regards-RichR
March 10, 200323 yr Moderator Rich,If you didn't select "Use Folder Names" as suggested the files will end up in the winwood folder instead of the relevant sub-folder.Open the ZIP file you should see a column named Path. That corresponds to the folder under winwood where the files need to reside. I suggest you delete all WAV files in the winwood folder (not the sub-folders of course!) and try again making sure this time that "Use Folder Names" is checked when you choose Extract To...Cheers, Ray (Cheshire, England).
