Dreamfleet 737-400

Featured Replies

I have just purchased Radar Contact V3. The problem I have encountered is that when I try to use Dream fleets, 737-400 the FMC creates an error message and will not run. As soon as I uninstalled RC it resolved the problem. Does anyone have any suggestions on how I can overcome this problem. As you can tell I am new to Flight Simmming so any help would be very much appreciatedPeter

I wish I could help you but I can at least assure you that it generally works fine. You might want to try re-installing DF. I do have the occasional crash to DT when accessing the FMC, but it doesn't seem to matter whether RC is running or not. When you get it working, it's a pretty tough combo to beat.Good luck. Adam

Hi Peter,Although I don't normally fly the DF737 I tried a flight tonight with a flight plan loaded into the FMC and with RC running.I had no problems and I did try switching the FMC display on/off several times trying to cause a crash. In what order are you doing things? I create my flight plans with FSNav and then export them in FS2002 format. I then load that plan into the FMC and then start RC and load that plan. That system works fine so try that and see how it goes.Cheers,

Peter,What type of error message are you getting? I use the DF 737 panel almost exclusively for my airliner flying and had no issues with it at all during the beta phase of RCv3. If you can provide more details it would be helpful!Mike CollierDispatcherSystem Operations ControlAmerica West Airlines

I use DF exclusively for flying with not only RC 3 but in addition, Simfliers scenery, Metero, much add-on AI, city scenery and terrain mesh, FSAssist (for pushback). As a lover of realism, I use the FMC on every flight and never had a problem, but there are differnces if you were use to RC 2.2 and FS2K. Here are a few things that may help.- After creating a flight plan export it to FS2002 not RC or anything else. - Start FS2002 first and choose your flight, I usually will at least get ground power then APU bus going, inital cabin announcements at this point. - Then start RC, FS Meteo, etc. (have your internet connection going for weather updates)-Once back in FS, you now have your weather and can program the FMC, import FS2002 flightplan for route, everything else you know, temp. winds, cruise alt, gross weight, fuel, etc. Remember to activate the route and execute both the route and takeoff/climb/cruise parameters.-Do not activate autopilot and LNAV until at least 400' ASL. Do not activate VNAV until your above 10K and have your altitude clearances as the FMC will often fly speeds and climb gradients beyound what the RC controllers are advising (depending on how many parameters you bothered to set in the FMC-there are a lot). Anyway this always works for me, a reinstall of DF is advisable if you start having a lot of problems, its the order of things that matter most in RC3 and FS2002 and the fact that your plans export into FS now instead of directly to RC, then RC will pull them from FS.Good Luck.

I use that combo and have not seen an error but it can be quirky especially if it's not a clean start( meaning that if you were in and out of FS2002, the DF FMC may still be running from a previous flight).I start FS2002 and choose the plane and airport location; then, drop to the desktop and start your weather program(if any); then start RC followed by maximizings your FS.Then, I find it helpful to run the RC ATIS info and then immediatly program the FMC without messing around too much with anything else. This usually gives a smooth run of the FMC. Be sure to make certain that the FMC shuts down after you end FS2002 your session. IF it hasn't just ctr-alt-del and end-task it.good luck
