Can I have a complete list of all the airlines supported by RC. Some airlines were notoriously left out by FS2002. This would be heaven sent if all airlines are included. I am looking for a few in particular.

YET AGAIN I SEE THAT TWO BIG AIRLINERS HAVE BEEN LEFT OUT. ETHIOPIAN AND AIR CAPE VERDE ARE MY ONLY CONCERN(ETHIOPIAN MAINLY). WHAT DOES IT TAKE TO ADD THESE AIRLINERS. I UNDERSTAND THAT IT MUST OF TOOK A GREAT DEAL OF PROGRAMING TO ACHIEVE SUCH A GREAT ACCOMPLISHMENT. BUT, IAM SADDLY DISAPPOINTED THAT THESE AIRLINES HAVE NOT BEEN INCLUDED, AGAIN. ETHIOPIAN HAS BEEN AROUND SINCE THE DAWN OF MASS-PASSENGER TRANSPORT AND CAPE VERDE IS WHERE MY BROTHER IS CURRENTLY A SENIOR 767 CAPTAIN. IS IT POSSIBLE TO GET A PATCH TO UPDATE THE AIRLINES LIST WITH THESE TWO INCLUDED? MY MOUTH IS WATERING WITH ANTICIPATION.

Hi, Reading a post in all capitals is a bit hard on the eyes but I'll tell you what I know. In order to "hear" the phrases 'Ethiopian' and 'Air Cape Verde' voiced in RC someone has to record them. Adding them to the aircraft list is easy enough but asking all 12 controllers plus the pilot/copilot to record them right now might not be possible. RC V3 has many, many more airlines in the airlines list than previous versions. I guess no one can provide a complete, accurate list of all airlines and a few just don't get noticed. John has repeatedly asked for suggestions to add to the airlines list. Too bad you didn't post Ethiopian and Air Cape Verde before this release. They would have been in here now! :-)Best, Rob

Rob, you know that posting doesn't do a lot.You need to send the requests to [email protected] with your request in the form:Can you please add this airline to RC?As Rob says, there were almost daily posts pertaining to this request before RC v3 was released. If it's not requested, it's not added. We can't read minds. It was always in the form of "If you want an airline in RC that's not there, please send it to (the above address). If you know of an airline in the list with a different callsign than you hear, send a note with the correction to the same address."Airline additions and changes are added in version releases, and sometimes, but not often, in point releases.And please don't use all caps. It's the internet equivalent of shouting.

Being the fact that I wasn't aware of RC's existence, It really serves me no purpose to hear of historical posts. Ultimately, my concern is, what could be done so that it is included in the, hopefully, near future. Let this be my informal, request. I was very intrigued to read about all the fasicnating features of RC. It is defintely something that poses an interest to not only my likings but those around me. I will also write to the above address and submit my request.My apologies for the cap-abuse, it was not shouting, but rather an oversight on my part. I appreciate your time and again, a great product which I hope to experience soon.

we've been doing this since 1999, and you were the first person needing those two call signs. if we knew they needed to be recorded, we would have recorded themthe wavs for 3.1 have been recorded, chopped, processed, and "in the can" for quite some time. we need to batch the files to be recorded to efficiently handle the recording and processing.2 years may be a little long to wait.you have a couple of options. record them yourself, add the names and wav file names to aircraft.dat, and place them in 0 - 98it will sound odd to have my voice doing the pilot, except for those two callsigns.the other option, is to have a bunch of your buddies record pilot and controller scripts, including these two call signs, and use them instead of the default set.sorry.

So let me see...This software is completely editable. If that's the case, hip hip horay! I have already ordered it in high hopes of swaying the powers that be. If it's just a simple addition of .wav files and couple of scripts here and there, than I am fine with that. I may need a little help, though. I am not sure what you meant by .0 - 98I take it that's path of the user-voice directory. I would appreciate any help that can be offered in the recording process. My voice, my dogs voice, it really doesn't matter. Just as long as I can hear the callsigns, I am a happy man.

just so you understand, you will hear my voice throughout the rc flight, as pilot, except when the pilot says "air cape verde"that voice will be yoursyou will also hear the default 10 controllers throughout the flight telling you to do something, except the call sign will be in your voice.

Harry,Yo clarfiy the directory structure and process, the folders you want to add the wav to are in the RCv30winwood folder.0 is the co-pilot (RCv30winwood0)1 is the pilot2 to 50 (although there are only 2-12 with ther default and additional 2 sets you can DL from the Flight Deck RCv3 page) are the controllers98 down to 60 are the chatter pilots. Only 98-91 are supplied with RC.When you make a new wav, make sure it's in 11025 8-bit mono PCM (or you can reduce to 8000 8-bit, or even as the default is, 8000 4-bit ADPCM) format. Trim everything off from the start and end of the wav, leaving only the callsign.Save the wav as a name you'll easily know - like aircapeverde.wav, for example.Text edit the aircraft.dat file. In the appropriate place (right after Air Canada and before Air Care for Air Cape Verde), add a line like this:Air Cape Verde,aircapeverde,0, 0 , 0 , 0 , 1 Make sure you BACK UP YOUR AIRCRAFT.DAT file first.Make sure you copied your wav into 0 to 98 (to whatever directories actually exist).Run FS, then RC. Select Air Cape Verde. Fly.
