I am using RCV3 and activesky wxRE online mode. When I leave to get destination weather @ 50nm I get the wind at my present altitude, usally 10,000 feet AGL. When I land the wind is completely different from the report. Although I have put destination in the box in Activesky wxRE (kord) I have not checked the "Force" box, could this be an activesky wxRE problem or something with RCV3? thanks, Tom

if you are running the latest active sky (1.6 was just released), arrival weather is sent to rc under the covers, so to speak.what do you have your active sky force distance set for? there was another option that he implemented recently, i can't for the life of me remember what it was. but it prevented rc from getting the weather.download 1.6, and see if the problem still exists.

I just downloaded 1.6, I'll let you know. The force distance I used was 60nm. I also just downloaded Peter Dawson's 2.97

ActiveSky 1.6 requires FSUIPC v2.972 or later. Set your Force Range to 80 miles or greater. You may then want to experiment with the "Disable all WX updates when forced" & "Disable forced wind updates" options.
