June 11, 200223 yr I know this has been asked before but can't find the previous post. I am just starting to fly the 737 - I have used it a few times taking it up to only around 10,000 feet - with the purpose of practicing landings. However, I have now completed the first default Europe adventure where you fly at 27000'. I noticed that , using the autopilot, the aircraft had a pronounced up and down oscillation in flight. As I came in to land, the oscillation seemed to go away..Any ideas? Thanks Barry
June 12, 200223 yr I have tried 280 and 320 at that altitude.Strangely, the problem I experienced was when flying the first default Europe adventure (Londo to Paris) . Flying the second adventure (Paris to Milan) at the same height and speed did not produce these oscillations nearly as bad.Barry
June 12, 200223 yr PS I "feel" that it has something to do with the Autopilot. You can see the trim wheel working up and down, up and down, etcBarry
June 12, 200223 yr I've had the same thing happen, but with a side to side motion. What I did was turn off autopilot, steer away from the set heading a little and then turn autopilot on again and let it correct. Not sure if the same sort of thing would work for your case.
