Version 3.1

Featured Replies

I gather from reading this forum that there is a version 3.1 in development. Is there a thread with a list of changes. I have searched but cant find one? Will it be a free download?Martyn

3.1 update is free and available for download at: http://www.jdtllc.com/Jim

Is that the same as 3.01?I was after the version that is aware of ground traffic.

No. 3.1 will recognise ground traffic but I have not seen it availasble yet. 3.01 with many upgrades and fixes is available now for download without cost. You must have the CD installed to impliment thids one file, unless the current CD distribution has been upgraded to include 3.01.

Martyn,3.1 will be some time yet. The main change will be much better AI awareness, both on the ground and in the air, but there are other improvements that will be included. For those who will ask, new airlines are not included in point releases.

Pardon this dumb question, but what do you mean by "new airlines"? Are you referring to voice files for airline names? Random traffic generated by RC?I thought (especally for upcoming 3.1) that airlines were a concern of other apps like the soon to be released Ultimatte Traffic or (ugh!) FS2K2 ATC AI.

Ron,Yes, there will be no added voice files. However, in regards to Ultimate Traffic, or any airline, you can look at aircraft.dat and see the huge number we already have. Sure, there will be some missing airline callsigns, and users should request those be added.New voice files from user requests are added with full version updates according to JD and Doug.
