May 24, 200323 yr Whe I launch RC3 after loading a flightplan made in NAV 3.1 I get the following errorprompt :"Runtime error 9subscript out of range"There is only an "OK" option. When I click that RC3 closes.Someone got a solution ??I am running FS2002 on a P4 1.8 GHz, 512 MB RAM, Win XP Home.I have updated RC to V3.01
May 24, 200323 yr Commercial Member are you exporting to a .pln or a .apl file?.pln is preferable.send me the .pln file, if you still have problemsjd JD Read my blog
May 25, 200323 yr >are you exporting to a .pln or a .apl file?I'm exporting as a .pln file from NAV 3.1>>.pln is preferable.>>send me the .pln file, if you still have problemsI have tried to load one of the default .pln files that comes with RC3 and I then don't get the runtime error. So that leaves out any error on my installation.i'll send you the .pln file.
May 25, 200323 yr Hi jt.I tried some thing to narrow it down a bit for you :I updated the fsuipc.dll to newest version from Peter Dawson's site.(in both NAV dir and FS2002 dir)Actually NAV 3.1 only write the exported flightplan as an .apl file. What I did was to save the flight - in this way NAV 3.1 write the exported flightplan as .pln file. When I try to open the flightplan in RC3 as .pln file I get the runtime error. When I open it as .apl RC3 seem to accept it.Hope this helps a bit
May 25, 200323 yr Commercial Member nav saves the plan, in a .pln file of it's own formatyou want to export the plan to fs200x format, which creates a .pln file which is what rc needs.sorry for the confusion, rc doesn't want the nav31's native .pln formatted file, but the exported fs200x .plnjd JD Read my blog
May 25, 200323 yr OK - you're right thats a bit confusing but it works. But the trouble doesen't stop here I'm afraid....When loading RC3 I get a somewhat strangelooking Adventure Display.I have attached a picture what I see.it sure doesen't look like the one on the "Getting started" RC3 sitepage. What with this AdvDisp ?
May 25, 200323 yr Commercial Member be sure to enable advdisp on the modules menu of flight simulator. position, size, change the font, color of font, etc. dock the advdisp window to a panel, and then start rcthen you will see the rc window like you see it in the rc documentation.i think this is all covered in the doc, under quick startjd JD Read my blog
May 26, 200323 yr Hej jdSorry I thought this one was installed by the file from the CD.i got it from dowson's site and now it works perfectly.Thanx for your support and for a very good add-on.:-)
May 26, 200323 yr Commercial Member it is installed, but you have to enable it in fs2002 JD Read my blog
May 27, 200323 yr As I understand you -you then mean that it should be visible under the modules menu...It wasn't visible after I did a clean install of RC3.I downloaded it from dowson's site and then it was visible in the modules menu, so I could enable it.Another question :I am working my way through the great RC3 pdf manual.I have set up a few flight using NAV 3.1, but each one of them didn't give me any ATC instructions before long after take-off.I can see that some configurations in the Controller option in RC3 make the controller to first issue heading instructios 30 miles from departure.Let's say I want to get ATC instructions immediately after take-off (instructions to fly the SID) -how do I then set-up RC3's optins ?
May 27, 200323 yr Commercial Member first checkpoint within 30 miles of departure, will make the departure a sid, and you will be expected to fly it. you will be yelled at if you don'talso read the section on flexible departure procedures JD Read my blog
