Saving RC + FS state

Featured Replies

Hi all,I am using RCv3.01 with FS2002 on Win98 First Edition. While flying, I tried to save the RC+FS state. The manual says I should maximize RC, then hit the save button. However, in most cases I was unable to maximize it. I used either Alt-Tab or Clicked the entry in the taskbar, but RC did not show up its screen, even if waiting some seconds although it reacted normal to keyboard input inside FS after going back.A few times I was able to bring the RC window to the front, but there was absolutely no reaction when hitting the save button (no filename dialog).Does anyone know why this doesn't work as it should?Only once, after finishing the flight, and immediately before listening to flight critique, I was able to maximize and use RC the save feature. Later, when examining the keyboard shortcuts after a restart of RC, I found the keyboard combination for saving (which should be still at factory settings) set to some strange character. Looks like a small 'c' with something underneath as in 'q', the code is listed as 999. This character doesn't exist on my keyboard. All other shortcuts all well defined. Any hints?Regards,Guido

the default save rc/fs is ctrl-shift-;go into your key options, and set it to that. then in flight, just hit ctrl-shift-; and you will see "saving......." in the advdisp windowjd
