July 15, 200322 yr Sorry for posting again, but after installing V 3.01 I still have both this ugly syntetic chatter on ground and dep frequency and the slow controller
July 15, 200322 yr Commercial Member so i understand what to fix, are you wanting canned atc chatter on ground and departure and getting synthetic chatter, or the synthetic chatter is slow?if it is the first, what airport are you atif it is the second, did you install 3.0 and upgrade to 3.01 or install 3.01 ? either case, download the 3.1 beta, and see if the slowness of speech goes awayjd JD Read my blog
July 15, 200322 yr I am departing from ENGM Oslo Gardermoen, the main airport in Norway. I wish to get rid of the whole syntetic chatter. If there is not yet norwegian ground /dept chatter available, I would rather prefer to hear som american/english real chatter than the syntetics. Regarding all communication between copilot and controller: speech is considerably slower than with RC2.2. With the older version, only the numbers were pronounced slowly (of course, as they in fact are composed), but the rest of the message (like ... ready to taxi ... taxi into position and hold) was fluid and faster spoken. I installed v3.0 from the CD and upgraded to v3.01 therafter.Hope this clears up my problem, I apologize for my rather plain English :-(
July 15, 200322 yr Hi Andreas,Have you tried both /high and /realtime command line switches in version 3.01? If you have downloaded and installed the v3.1 beta version the command line switch is no longer needed.
July 15, 200322 yr Commercial Member i have norway center, and tower. no cd, gnd, dep, app. if you want to record some, i can tell you how to implement. actually it is documented in the manual.the consensus from earlier versions of radar contact, people did not want english canned atc chatter while in a foreign country. that is why i play synthetic chatter, when canned chatter doesn't exist.download the 3.1 beta, and i think you slow voices will speed up nicely.jd JD Read my blog
