New 3.1 Build Problem.............

Featured Replies

Tried the new 3.1 Build J.D., has me flying 180 degrees opposite of what I should. Started a flight from KSJC to KBFI to Seattle, northbound. The heading to Redbluff (RBL) was 165 degrees!! I reinstalled the prior 3.1 beta and works just fine now. Why did it flip me around like that!!????Randy Jura, KPDX

same flight plan?don't know. send me the plan. did you miss a checkpoint?jd

I've had the same thing happen three times. The first two were using the same plan and it ocurred at the same point. The third time I realized that it happened after passing a checkpoint about three (3) miles off course and there was no audible "ding" for the checkpoint. At that point the PREVIOUS checkpoint popped up in the Adv Disp window. ATC called then to reverse my course. So it seems that sometimes RC doesn't agree with GPS about off course distance.Last time it happened I turned everything over to the co-pilot and let her circle bsck to hit the checkpoint while I went for coffee :)

I had the same thing happen on a couple of flights. I was being told to turn 180 from the correct heading. I ignored it and it corrected itself as I got close to the first waypoint and the second waypoint popped up.Of course I still got the end of flight lecture from ATC about it being my flightplan...fly it! :-lol William
