No sound with Fs2003 and RC 3

Featured Replies

I had a glance through previous comments but nothing like this seems to have occurred. I installed RC 3 last March but have had no time to use it until now. I have used RC2.2 extensively and can get to the stage of tuning to WX TAF but the moment I press key 1 - no sound. I can get sound (so I know the thing works) if I press the appropriate key and then flick the RC3 button at the base of the screen. I then and only then get sound. FS goes into pause mode and the moment I press P again, the RC sound cuts and returns to FS sound. Anyone got any ideas or am I being really stupid. I have read the manual.Hugh

sounds like your sound card can't handle multiple input sources (fs and rc are now seperate programs)what kind of sound card do you have?jd

HiThanks for your response.Soundcard is pretty basic, Sound blaster 128. I'm about to upgrade anyway, any suggestions? Can you tell me if RC3 will work with PIC A320? This seems to make use of a number of FS variables.Hugh

I have an Extigy which I find really good. Most others seem to go for the Audigy (but that doesn't work on my DVD system :-lol)

sound blaster live, turtle beach, they all work for meif the a320 has a proprietary auto pilot, then the rc co-pilot won't be able to fly. she can do the comms.jd

Many thanks for your responses. I'll try updating the Soundcard to something reasonable and let you know. Hugh:-)
