When is the landing runway given?

Recommended Posts

Hi all.I installed RC3.1 (?), build 2205 for use with FS9 and did a test flight yesterday. Everything went fine apart from a total lack of ATC voice during the approach part. That turned out to be due to the fact that I had copied the content of one of the Winwood folders to the wrong place (I think it was folder 10). I haven

The runway assignment is given in both the ATIS before you switch to APC, and APC's "expect vectors to runway x", and on the AdvDisp window after APC issues the assignment. As far as your missing controllers, you should have just unzipped the 3.1 files into your RCV30 directory and not needed to copy anything. However, make sure you have 1134 files in folders 2-12. If you don't have 11 and 12, then you need to DL and install the full update wav files and controllers 11 and 12 from the Flight Deck's RC page. Links are listed in the Welcome message above and in the 3.1 update message at the very top.

you have to leave frequency to get weather 60 miles or less from the arrival airport to get the airport weather. greater than 60 miles, you are getting inflight weather, and they don't know where you're going :-)jd
