Super Flight Planner

Featured Replies

Hi,I just can't figure out how to load a to FS2004 exported SFP-flightplan in Radar Contact V 3.1. Create a plan in SFP and export it to FS2004 for GPS-use is easy, but how can you make a SFP-plan fit for Radar Contact V 3.1? I guess exporting it as a Radar Contact APL plan is an option...; but if so, how exactly ??Hope to hear from someone,Bye,Bol from Holland

doesn't super flight planner export to .pln file format? when i was using the sfp beta's that's what i didjd

Dear JD,Yes, SFP exports to PLN. format but once such a file is loaded in RC and sended to FS2004 a warning says: runtime error 9, subscript out of range. I tried plans from SFP that were just saved as SFP file and plans that were exported as FS GPS PLN. file. Two files are attached (I hope they show up!). One is just saved as SFP-plan and the other is an exported plan.Bye,Bol from Holland

JD,After sending the last post to you I saw that attachment 2 shows up like a neat flightplan textfile (as the 8 plans on the Radar Contact-CD do also - for example - when you open them). This file doesn't look so neat when it is opened in My DocumentsFlight Simulator Files.A: this is a genial discoveryB: this is dummy-talk Anyway...: I hope it helps a little bitBye,Bol

the second file looks perfect. are you saying rc can't read it?are you running rc v3.1? jd

JD,Yes the second one looks ok, but only if it is opened as attachment 2 under my post in this forum. If I open the file if it sits under My DocumentsFlight Simulator Files it looks totally different. This has certainly something to do with converting. RC doesn't recognize the file as it should, and to be honest.....; I think it's not a RC problem. I'm nearly sure it's not a SFP related problem either. Let's go on and try some more experimenting.Bye,Bol from Holland

OK the problem is solved.Look at the two attached sample files, one made in SFP and one made in FS2004. The one made and exported in SFP is not the same as the FS2004 flightplan file. The third and the last two lines give the problem, it's all about comma's, spacing and missing airport-codes. If you correct these things, any SFP flightplan file will work in Radar Contact V3. Yesssssss !!Bye,Bol from Holland

Hello all,A little problem. The solution works partially for RCV3.1, as there is now a problem with the VOR's, NDB's and Intersections. These navaids are also not recognized by RCV3.1. Above all; a SFP-flightplan that is fixed for RCV3.1 does not load in the FS2004 flightplanner. How are things now ??? Well.....:1. Make a plan in SFP and export to Flight Simulator Files (for the FS2004 GPS).2. Copy this file and rename it and make the plan recognizeble (texteditor) for RCV3.1.3. Load the original plan in the GPS and the renamed file in RCV3.1. There must be an easier way to do this. I'm exhausted after trying all kinds of ideas. Anyway..., I know now where the fault lies.Bye,Bol from Holland

The problem is finally solved.Export a SFP-flightplan to the Flight Simulator Files. You only have to edit the third line of such a SFP-plan. So....: open the plan and change -for example- EHAM to EDDF in EHAM, EDDFThat's allI'm a happy man now that I can use SFP in FS2004 and RCV3.1, it's just a pity it took me so long to figure out such a easy solution.Bye,Bol from Holland

have you written to alesandro? he could/should probably fix thati based my reading of the .pln file strictly on the output of the fs planner.i guess i could do something with rc, but i would think that error would cause it to fail loading into fs as well as rcjd
