Tutorial

I am attempting to use the tutorial for RC and am having some problems.I'm a little inexperienced with laying out multiple waypoints for the plan KDSM-KORD, which is the first tutorial.I've tried using some of the flight plans included with the RC disk but some are not working, especially NAV3.1. Anyhelp would be appreciated. By the way, I'm using FS2004.

the .pln loads into rc just fine. i can see where a fs2002 .pln file may not be able to be loaded in fs2004. i've never tried it. do you need to load the .pln into fs2004? it's only important to load it into rc for the tutorialjd

OK.I found the tutorials. However, I'm confused about this tutorial. When it tells me to position my plane at KDSM, do I load the tutorial flight plan through FS2004 or just go to HDSM after starting FS2004 without setting up a flight plan? It seems that the manual is not specific enough. When I get to the point to click on 'Start RC3', my plane ends up in the air sometimes right away and crashes to the ground. Then it restarts me on the field somewhere and not even at the gate where I am supposed to go (B3). Can someone help me out please.

Another thing. Also, if I load the flight plan from RC3, when I go to my GPS, the first waypoint is NOT CID, but some other waypoint that is not even in the plan in the manual.

Load the plan into the FS2004 Flight Planner first.Second load the plan into Radar Contact.Have a look at Step 3 on page 16 of the RCv3 manual. That should help you understand the process.

That problem should be corrected if you load the plan into the FS2004 Flight Planner first in.I just tried it and CID was my first waypoint in Adv Display.
