November 11, 200421 yr I've tried to upgrade my Version 3 to version 3.1 but the green information box at the top of the screen is different to that shown in the Manual. How can I copy it I so that I can show it and ask for help in rectifying the problem?Briefly there are several little meaningless boxes that shouldn't be there with the result that the information box isn't particularly clear.Cliff (In Spain)

November 11, 200421 yr Cliff,In Windows Explorer, please click on Tools|Folder Options|ViewUnder Advanced Setting scroll down until you find Hidden Files and Folders. Click the Show Hidden Files and Folders Setting. You will want a dot next to it. That means it is selected. Now click OK.To enable Adv Display click on the Modules menu item is FS2004. The second item down should be Adv Display. Please click on it. A check mark will appear next to it.Adv Display should appear in the top left corner. From here you can move and size to your liking.
November 11, 200421 yr Bingo Rick. Or almost.................I sized and placed it but, but, but all sound has vanished. I tried other aircraft but they too now have no sound.I tried leaving FS and launching again only to find that the Display Box showed itself on all the screens. Even during booting into FS and no matter which aircraft I chose.I tried hitting "Q" but it makes no difference. Any ideas?Cliff
November 11, 200421 yr Are you saying the sound has stopped for FS2004 or RCv3.1 or both?In FS2004 click on Options. Is there a check mark beside sound? If not click on it. Sound should return to FS2004. Next click on Options|Settings Sound. Are there check marks in all the listed boxes? Are all the slider bars moved to the right at various positions? In Radar Contact, click on Options. Under plane data click the speaker icon next to Call Sign. Do you hear anything? Finally double check your speaker volume control and make sure its turned up.
November 12, 200421 yr This time........Bingo! Rick.I woke this morning to find your reply waiting for me. On firing up FS to check your suggestions I found everything working just fine. So alls well that ends well. Thanks Rick. With my regards,Cliff
