I was curious JD or anyone who might know how you plan to implement VFR flying in RC V 4.0. I have the previous version and while excellent does not incorporate VFR flying and Id like to know whether you will incorporate it in the new version or not, thanks chris

no vfr, if i'm thinking what you are thinking.you can still take off from a non controlled field, and fly to a non controlled field. but at some point you have to talk to atcjd

I'm not sure exactly what this last sentence means. I've also thought it would be great to be able to use RC for VFR ATC services such as controlled airspace transitions, flight following, or simply landing/departing a tower-controlled airport. Just think of the fun of getting nailed by FSDO for busting Class B without proper clearance! Of course, this would depend on RC being able to determine where your aircraft was in relation to controlled airspaces, which is possibly easier said than done. I could live without that part, though. Just being able to contact ATC facilities without having to stick to a sequence of waypoints would be all anyone would need.Mark Kuebeler
