Hey all, Im a newbie saying hi... While flying the other day i thought id make it more intresting and get some failures going.. then i was like #### too bad u cant declare emergencies!! Then it hit me i had RC3 somewhere in my pile of cd's i tottaly forgot about, well i installed it, installed the update everything seems fine, so i load it into fs9 but when i get the green box to select options from, some items i cant understand its just letters with bunch of boxes? can hardly understand what im picking? anyone can help out? greatly appreaciate it.

you need to load advdisp.dll into the modules directoryjd

thanks jd for the response,i did that.. now right when i start fs9 i get the message that advdisplay.dll is incompatible so i click yes to load, when i get to the main menu i have that little window in the upper left corner but when i load aflight fs9 crashes? anything im doing wrong? i havent started rc3.1 yet.

ok i found a newer version of adv display, i dont get the message at startup anymore but fs9 still crashes. im using lds 767 and it works forlike maybe 10 seconds, then the screen turns black and 5 seconds later fs9 crashes.

see if you have the similar behavior on a stock ms plane/panel.are you docking the advdisp window to a panel?jd

i just tryed it with posky 767 v4 and it works flawlessly, i think that when i updated the advdisp.dll the advdisp window doesnt show up until i actually start rc3 i cant remember right now im at work. maybe i did go to moduels menu and started it manually? ill check it out later at home. but it does work with other panels, but not with the level d, which i fly the most. Thanks for the help.
