Radar Contact Functionality

Featured Replies

I'm new to the Radar Contact forum and have a question regarding it's use. I have downloaded VATSIM and was going to use their ATC for flying but noticed that I had to close my antivirus software that I am currently using when on-line. I don't like this idea and was wandering how 'Radar Contact' functions in regards to Clearance Del, ground, tower, approach, atis etc. Do you have a choice of 'Voice or Text' when in use ??Regards, noullet

there is a wealth of information at www.jdtllc.comyou can read the basics, the tutorials, etc herehttp://www.jdtllc.com/documentation.htmyou can also download the manual from http://www.jdtllc.com/v4/rcv4.pdfand we will have a video shortly, so you can see what we're talking about.you can do voice and text, or voice. you can't do text only.jd

Thanks for your reply. I'll look under 'Documentation' for the manual. I have one other question and that is: How does the new RC version 4 differ from VoxATC Deluxe. I've been reading pcaviator and they mentioned that this software fully integrated speech recognition etc.etc. Does RC4 have the same attributes?Regards & thanks for your reply.noullet

no voice recognition in rc v4. there are several voice recognition products (shareware/freeware) out there, that can interface with v4. rc is more about atc. the procedures, the phraseology, the rules and regulations, the essence of flying in the real world. maybe voice recognition and voice synthesis will be fully functional in the v5 time frame.jd
