adding own voices to RC4

Featured Replies

Hi JD,can't wait to get the new RC4 !!Meanwhile, will it be possible to add own voices (that is:recording own .wavs) for pilot and controller (not just adding "chatter" as it says in the Manual at page 136) ? Where can we find the (many thousand) scripts ???Thanks a lot-Best regards.

if you want to record for us, we will have you record a test script. we'll review the recordings, tell you to speed up or slow down, increase the volume or decrease the volume, move the mike away from your mouth, or move it closer, etc. once we have a suitable test recording, you can begin recording the full set.there will be a script directory in your rcv4 directory. there will be a little utility to record each of the phrases.plus, there is a little utility being released by someone else, that will do the same thing.when you're done, you can send it to me, and ray or dean can perform their magic on it. then we can make it available for downloadi don't think any of us are ready to tackle this till february/march of next year.jd

Hi JD,and if one just wishes to make HIS own voices for personal use ?Then, if you judge them good, you could add to the (future) downloadable sets...Would be great to have the scripts and just record for own fun...Thanks and awaiting eagerly Dec.10th...

I am in the process of developing an editor for voicesets for popular FS add-ons like Radar Contact, FSPassengers, FDC and FS2Crew.It might take 2-3 weeks before it'll enter beta, but I'm working on it.Cheers.

send me something when you have it. i'd love to test it amongst our beta teamjd

I'll most defintitely do that, jd. I plan on sending it first to developers to work out all the kinks and to make sure that everything works as intended with their voicesets.Pat
