Does RCv4 uses the wheather engine?

Featured Replies

Hello Fellows,Just a quick question about deviating to Alternate or holding pattern for wheather. Is the program feeding this information off the wheather engine such as ASV or the default MS? Or it's a "fake" instructions like "hold for traffic" in V1 for FS2000? If the answer is the latter will there be an upgrade or will you incorporate this in later versions? Thnx

Ashigar,The weather is read from FS2004 by Radar Contact. How that weather is generated (default FS9, FSMeteo, ASV) is not relevant. If you select Holding for weather in Radar Contact Options page the following conditions have to be satisfied before a hold with be generated...If 10 or more rwys (5 pavement or greater):35% hold
