December 29, 200520 yr Guys I have no idea what else to try at this point. My FS9 has always run great. Worked great under Radar Contact 3. However since I installed RC4 I can't complete a flight without FS crashing. It can occur 2 minutes into a flight or an hour into it. But I'll be flying along and I get a black screen. Then after 30 seconds a message pops up that FS needs to close and do I want to report it to MS? When the crashes occur, task manager tells me RC4 is not responding. I have used the update button and RC4 updated today. However FS still crashes. I have also tried using the rebuild scenery button in RC4. No help. My FS9 worked perfectly until I installed RC4. What do I do now? I don't want to go back to RC3. Nothing else but the install of RC4 has occured.Bob

January 1, 200620 yr I think I've solved my problem. The "Rebuild Scenery DB" function was not working properly in RC4. The first 2 times I used this button it only listed a very small number of things. Then on the 3rd try it finally worked like it was supposed to and I got a much larger rebiuld. (Sorry if that's not the right term but I'm not sure what this function does) Anyway I then loaded up a plan from KMCI to KDAL that I had been trying for days and I was able to fly it completely without a black screen or a CTD. I have read here in this forum of several people reporting the same problem with the "rebuid scenery DB function" and that's what made me try it a third time. This time it worked properly. Now please give us a volume that we can control and please help us with the voices. They are too slow and robot like. Other than that thanks for a great product.Bob
January 1, 200620 yr Commercial Member the other makerwys problems were related to widefs.you must have tweaked your scenery cfg for makerwys to find all of your airports/runwaysvolume control won't be anytime soon, but we are working on something for the voices, which i think will make everyone happy.jd JD Read my blog
