January 1, 200620 yr I did a flight this morning from KONT - KLAS and at both airports wile i was taxing to my departure runway i had an aircraft turn and start taxing into my path after it was cleared todo so from ground. Nothing from ground telling me or the other aircraft to stop or anything? Other then that the flight was great! January 1, 200620 yr What I do is allow MS AI to do its own thing (steamroller me) but have the detect collisions off,its not perfect-but it helps.As I said we are thinking about this,but there is a massive amount of processing required and one side affect would be a frame rate hit.....right when you don't want it.There are some real brains on the developer/beta team one of us is bound to think of something,sometime...No promises though!!!Best WishesAshley Sear(G4MGD-Licensed since 1981)http://www.jdtllc.com/images/rcv4bannerbeta.jpg
January 1, 200620 yr I had a similar problem taking off from 28L at SFO. I had ai traffic set to 100% so planes were lined up for 28L ahead of me, and landing on 28R. I was cleared to take off, but remember an aircraft had just landed on 28R and was waiting to cross. I decided to wait, and sure enough the plane that just landed stopped in the middle of 28L for no reason and sat there ! I am running the FlyTampa's KSFO, so maybe FS thought it was clear of the runway.
January 2, 200620 yr What I do is to just to use the default ATC for ground handling. Arrivals are easy and I even get to cheat with the ugly pink line if I'm being lazy. :) The departure runways don't always match, but it seems to keep the AI in check.One thing I have noticed with RC4 is that on arrival it always sends me to a Ramp, never a gate, unless I program it during setup.This is another reason I just use the default ground.
