January 20, 200620 yr Hi all!Yesterday i was on my descend to LIRF when i got the RC4 ATIS information from LIRF which said: wind 060/06 but the active rwy would be 34L/R. That was pretty strange, because there is a rwy 07,too.Whatever, so i planned my approach on rwy 34.But only one minute later RC4 gave me vectors for an rwy07 approach. Finally i did it and had the rwy07 in sight when i got the landing clearance from the tower. But shortly before the rwy i saw a big jet lined up on the rwy ready to take off. What
January 20, 200620 yr Commercial Member runway selection is based on observed ai traffic. if there is no ai traffic, then the old runway selection criteria (ils, wind, length, etc) is done.if atis gave you 34L, then it saw ai landing or taking off 34Lin approach, if you are switched to 07, then ai was observed on 07.if the plane had already made it to takeoff-1 state, then i let it go for takeoff. no point of freezing it on the runway.now why you didn't get a go around, i don't know. i'd have to see a log.do you have add-on scenery, or special afcad files? did you rebuild the scenery database after you installed rc?jd JD Read my blog
