February 2, 200620 yr Flew to South Africa today - more specific Johannesburg. Though the "southafrica" folder contains chatterfiles named the right way and the libraries - like e.g. winwood155 contains a $southafrica.txt file it doesn't play any of these chatterfiles.Made one for the rest of africa as well like i've made for Europe and other places - here with a $africa.txt file. It doesn't work either.Since i can make it for other parts of the world, why doesn't it work in Africa? The south african one is one you created..What can stop it from working?
February 2, 200620 yr Commercial Member south africa wavs will only play when you are in the following centers137, 149, 152, 155, 164, 366there is no Africa directory, so if it doesn't work, it's possible it's not set up correctly. what centers did you put the $africa.txt file in?jd JD Read my blog
February 2, 200620 yr I have a europe library - i think i made that myself.. - but that works. I created an africa library myself adding the sub-libraries including the .wav files. Should this be a problem? I can't recall all the libraries - but Harare (165) is one - and there was nothing at all while flying over Harare.. With all the .wav files there should have been one h... of activity on the radio. Now - it's my first time with RC4 down there. I still have RC3 on the system and it worked perfectly - and it's btw.identical with what i have made in RC4. In RC3 the south african chatter started around the time i reached the border between Zimbabve and South Africa. I see no reason that it shouldn't do it in RC4 - but i only hear the Microsoft chatter and then your commands of changing frequency and altitude.. etc.But maybe it's my africa-library which is to blame. i'll try and remove it and see what happens.
February 2, 200620 yr Commercial Member so you have a $africa.txt file in winwood165?hard to say. i don't think i changed anything between 3 and 4 that would affect how pre-recorded chatter plays.jd JD Read my blog
