Why do one have to be a member of a g..da..ned google group to be entiteled for the update?pretty simple. i need a way to communicate to every registered owner of radar contact. i can send out 5000 emails through my isp, without looking like a spammer. if you are a member of the radar contact google group, i can send an email to the group, and it is emailed to all members. in this case, i wanted to let the people who have v4, to be able to download it before it went public.why don't i upload it to avsim?why should i use avsim's resources, to host a commercial product's update. i have a web hosting company, i pay for space, i pay for bandwidth, i should use it.why is the file so big?to accomplish the improved speech, i found the critiques weren't in the right format, so they had to be included in the updatewhy don't i split the wavs out from the update?i've learned from my experience doing this, 50% of the people would have difficulty applying the update, AND downloading and installing the wavs. the other 50% could probably handle it. so i'm going to be dinged either way. i wasn't going to even make this an install program until i had to include the wavs.this has been a lesson learned. next time i have something this big, going to so many people, i will stagger the emails. probably telling the v1 users it's available, then the v2 users, then v3 users and then finally the v4 users.
