February 16, 200620 yr I stopped using FSautostart and the hesitation stopped. I do not know if the hesitation is caused by FSautostart or something stopped. I do not have the time to experiment with it. If some could do that and post what is causing it.
February 16, 200620 yr Commercial Member just curious the, why do you need fsautostart? what does it do for you that doubleclicking the fs9 icon doesn't do?jd JD Read my blog
February 16, 200620 yr >Only FS9....I start everything later. When you start FS9 with fsautostart, do you set the FS9 priority to high? If so, that's your problem.
February 16, 200620 yr I changed the priority back to normal and there was still hesititation with starting FS9 with FSautostart.
February 21, 200620 yr FSAutostart removes from memory all the unneeded files which windows normally loads into memory. Stuff like spam checkers, webshots, and other programs you do not need. Then, when you exit FS9 it automatically reloads them for you... With only 512meg ram, this means my FPS even on the ground, with LAX scenery, I get about 28-32 fps, and in the air it stays pinned at 32fps which its set to max at.Now, as I only fly a few GA aircraft, C182, B1900, and Eaglesoft Citation-X have also removed all default aircraft to a backup folder. Then, added about 40 AI GA aircraft with GA-Traffic, 12 Military AI, Classic AI, ConUS F16's for Homeland Security ;-) and 24 ProjectAI aircraft... Thus my fields are well populated, sometimes there are 35-40 aircraft on the ground at GA fields with enhanced AFCADS.Rather be using the memory for AI, than programs Im not using.
