How does RC reconcile out of date waypoints?

Recommended Posts

How does RC reconcile the differences between a .pln file with what's in the current AIRAC database? For example: If you create a flightplan (.pln) from Heathrow to Frankfurt using the FS9 flightplanner, some of the waypoints are either out of date or don't exist in the MS9 flightplanner world.I assume RC follows whatever is in the .pln file even if it doesn't agree with what's in the current AIRAC cycle.I suppose the differences are small enough to still be realistic, I'm just wondering how some of you other simmers handle this. Thanks in advance,SluggerP.S. Love RC.

whatever is in the .pln, is gospel for me.if you have an old .pln for rc, and fs9, and a new plan for the fmc, we're going to have a conflict.jd

jd,Thanks for the prompt reply. So the only way to create a RC flightplan that agrees with the current AIRAC cycle would be to use a flightplanner that can be updated such as FSNav or FSBuild. OK. Thanks again.Slugger

correct.but the flip side, like for mei don't have/use an fmc. so even the fs9 flight planner works for me. it is the FMC that drives the requirement to use a planner that can be in synch with the fmci can't understand why there has to be "N" number of flight plan formats, 1 for each plane, or each fmc. a flight plan should be universal to all planes, all fmcs, even different versions of flight simulator.jd
