RCv4 Key Sequence (Ctrl+Shft+H) Interferance

Featured Replies

OK, I seem to have come across some kind of anomoly with a particular key-sequence only while RCv4 is running. For a long time now, I have always programmed Ctrl+Shft+H to increment my MCP (autopilot) Speed variable in the PMDG Keys menu. When ever I start any PMDG aircraft, this key sequence works fine from both the keyboard and via a programmed TQ button via FSUIPC. FWIW, Ctrl+Shft+H is not listed at all in my FS9 key assignemnts either, as designed. I don't think this is specific to any particular version of FCUIPC including the latest beta, 3.617.Now, as you can see from my setup below, whenever I start RCv4 on my WideClient PC, this particular key sequence is never seen again by FS9; even after stopping RCv4. I have to completely restart FS9 on the WideServer PC and then Ctrl+Shft+H works again. Although I run other programs from the WideClient PC, I finally took the time to narrow it down to just RCv4 being active. I am also absolutely sure I do not have this sequence programmed in the RCv4 keys applet. I have also re-arranged many RCv4 key assignments, checking for ASCII conflicts, to no avail. Now I am certianly aware that I could change this particluar key-sequence in my PMDG key assigments, but it would also mean re-arranging many aircraft-specific key assignemnts in FSUIPC as well, which I'm trying to avoid. I sure hope the answer is not in the RCv4 manual, 'cause it's been a long time since I bothered to read it, LOL...Thanks for you thoughts...regards,AL | KCHS - Charleston AFB/Intl | Home of the USAF 437AW (~53 C-17's)-------------------------------------------------------------Game Rig:AMD64-4000+ SanDiego OC=220/440/2640 | Asus A8N-SLI Deluxe | Corsair TwinX2048-3200C2PT (2x1GB) 2.5-3-3-8/[email protected] | Evga NV 7900GT v84.56 (No OC yet)| Thermalright XP-120(mm) HSF | NV LAN@1GB | NV (SATA-I spec) Raid-0 223GB (3x80GB Samsung) (WinXPx64/Games) | NV (SATA-II spec) WD 320GB (Backups) | IDE-0 80GB Samsung (Archive) | Realtek AC'97 5.1 Surround | CH Yoke, TQ, & Pedals | FS9.1 | WideFS Server | FSUIPC v3.6 | FSGenesis Mesh (All) | PMDG (All) | PAI (All) | FSBuild2 | Etc...FS9 Support Rig:AMD3200+ | Gigabyte GA-7NNXP | Leadtek NV 5900 | Corsair TwinX1024-3200 (2x512MB) | Intel LAN@1GB | SiI3112 SATA-I 80GB Samsung | IDE-0 80GB IBM | JustCom 4port KVM | FS Wide Client | ActiveSky v6 | Radar Contact v4 | FS Real Time | FS Flight Keeper | FS Commander | AI Smooth

Well I decided to check/review the RCv4 manual this morning over a few cups of coffee, but no where does it mention anything about (Ctrl+Shft+H) being inherant to RCv4, other than the obvious Key assignments page. Oh well, it was good review and I did learn something new; "Pilot's Descretion Descent" but this is only available in the menus if PF has the comms. Can't wait to try this with the PMDG FMC for a full VNAV descent and see how well they work together.Anyway, still trying to figure out why RC is eating my particular key-sequence...AL | KCHS - Charleston AFB/Intl | Home of the USAF 437AW (~53 C-17's)-------------------------------------------------------------Game Rig:AMD64-4000+ SanDiego OC=220/440/2640 | Asus A8N-SLI Deluxe | Corsair TwinX2048-3200C2PT (2x1GB) 2.5-3-3-8/[email protected] | Evga NV 7900GT v84.56 (No OC yet)| Thermalright XP-120(mm) HSF | NV LAN@1GB | NV (SATA-I spec) Raid-0 223GB (3x80GB Samsung) (WinXP/Games) | NV (SATA-II spec) WD 320GB (Backups) | IDE-0 80GB Samsung (Archive) | Realtek AC'97 5.1 Surround | CH Yoke, TQ, & Pedals | FS9.1 | WideFS Server | FSUIPC v3.6 | FSGenesis Mesh (All) | PMDG (All) | PAI (All) | FSBuild2 | Etc...FS9 Support Rig:AMD3200+ | Gigabyte GA-7NNXP | Leadtek NV 5900 | Corsair TwinX1024-3200 (2x512MB) | Intel LAN@1GB | SiI3112 SATA-I 80GB Samsung | IDE-0 80GB IBM | JustCom 4port KVM | FS Wide Client | ActiveSky v6 | Radar Contact v4 | FS Real Time | FS Flight Keeper | FS Commander | AI Smooth
