non-FAA phraseology

Featured Replies

Hi RC4-Team,>> V4.2 : 5) some improvements in phraseology What exactly has changed ?I was hoping some readbacks to be corrected, like 'line up and wait'. Should be readback as 'line up and wait', but still since more than half a year after release I hear 'roger' instead. It was already brought up in a thread in December last year. Are the corrections/enhancements/refinements for non-FAA pharaseology still planned during the remaining FS2004 'lifetime' ?Mike

most of the enhancements we did, were based on your feedback. but they weren't all done.if the enhancement required a recording, it was made for 4.01, or 4.2it won't be in 4.3 (the FSx release). it will have to wait until we do the 5.0 scripti don't have a specific list of what changed, it was things that could be accomplished with the wavs we hadjd

jd,hmmm, I thought the correct readback before entering the runway is important, so I hope you don't mind me asking.5.0, ouch. So that means my nice list of Russian callsigns ( ;) ), and maybe a voice recording round to get more local voices, all that won't happen for FS 2004 anymore ?That would be really a pity ;(Mike

you don't know how difficult it is, to herd everyone that has recorded, together, get them to record, and then have ray/dean do the editting.your russian callsigns are on the list, and the phraseology improvements we didn't make, because of additional recording, are on the list.your comments, and callsign additions came way to late in the 4.0 process to be implemented. that's why it is important for anyone that has something new, to speak up early in the 5.0 process, so we can get them done.jd

jd,well, what shall I say, other than OK :)Mike
