AISmooth

Featured Replies

I'm contemplating buying RC4 as it looks great. I noticed on the website's home page that it is compatible with Traffic 2005 and AISmooth. However, it appears that RC4 fulfills the function of AISmooth if the "Interact with AI" option is checked, rendering AISmooth redundant. Am I correct in this? Also, I see that v5 is being developed. Any idea when it will be released? Thanks.

AI Smooth's function is to control landing intervals by placing aircraft in the approach area in holding patterns as necessary. It can be used to space out landing ai aircraft to allow take-off queued ai to take off thinning the lineup at busy departing airports. It can also help by thinning the number of ai on approach to allow your aircraft space to merge. If you use it I recommend turning the function Respond To User Aircraft off. In addition turn off all communications options as RC will manage that.RC controls ai relative only to your aircraft. Enroute it can move ai to avoid conflict. On landing it can speed up ai in front of you and slow down aircraft to your rear (within limits). When you are on short final RC it should freeze ai queued to enter your landing runway to avoid go-arounds due to runway incursions.Version 5 is in early stages of development. It is probably roughly at least a year from release according to coder JD.
