Run-time error 75

Featured Replies

Help! I've had RC 4 for about a week and finally have a second to post. I've tried to follow the update instructions to run RC on FSX but I keep receiving the run-time error 75 pathfile access error when I try to rebuild the db. I'm running FSX on Vista. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, Jason Briggs

so what is the path that you are entering for the fs path when prompted to, when you click rebuild scenery databasejd

You have to actually type the complete path into the box when it asks for the path to Flight simulator. You can't browse to it.Hope that helps.Jeff

The path that I'm entering is C:Program FilesMicrosoft GamesMicrosoft Flight Simulator XJason

just for grins, put a at the end of the path, see what happens

Gave that a try and got the same error. Should I be doing this while the sim is running in the background?

should not matter.find the makerwys.bat file in the rcv4 directory, after you get the errorrename it makerwys.txt, and send it to [email protected]

Hi,I have exactly the same problem (FSX SP1, Vista, FSUIPC 4.10, RCv4.3). When I try to rebuild the Scenery DB, I get this "Run-time error '75' Path/File acces error". I have tried with and without "" at the end, it doesn't change anything...Could somebody help me? Can't wait to use RC with FSX...Thanks,Jerome

I found it... I had to run rcv4 "as administrator" before rebuilding. The problem happens sometimes with Vista, especialy for FSX addons. Cheers,Jerome
