New user, just a few questions

Hi guys, I just received my CD today. It only took a few days to get to me, and registration was completed in just an hour or two.Got it set up and ran a few quick flights. There are two things that are a little confusing to me.The first is in regards to the "Adv Display". The manual says to enable this. By default, mine was not checked but I already had a nice semi clear window that looked similar to the FS9 default ATC window. Everything worked fine. When I actually went to check the "Adv Display", it appeared but just flashed like crazy, unless I went into windowed mode. I just unchecked it and the window disappeared. Since there is already one window there by default, I'm wondering what is with that and should I even care? :)The second question has to do with ATC chatter. I checked both ATC chatter boxes (I think one was ATC and the other was wav files or something like this??)..Anyway, in my first flight, a short hop from a small airport to another, I heard lots of ATC chatter (there weren't many AI flying around). As soon as I moved over to Frankfurt and started a flight, there were TONS of AI flights. I heard alot of the ATC to AI but no more ATC chatter. Is this because the AI flights simply have precedence over the chatter?Oh, I almost forgot, when I was flying the first flight, I crashed on landing and the report told me that I had a perfect flight lol.. Not sure but he sounded sarcastic :)Great product guys, I only ran it twice and I'm loving it so far!Next time I'm going to actually fly a real flight plan and see how I do.Regards,Jeffrey Scharpf

I really liked the recorded AI chatter lol. It added something.Today I flew a flight from Frankfurt to Vienna. I did not hear any recorded chatter. I'm still a little confused as to when this will "play". Is it random or based on the frequency I'm tuned to?Jeff

depends on the flight level, or the ground controller you're talking to. if there is no frankfurt or vienna ground pre-recorded chatter, or if there is no pre-recorded chatter for the areas you're flying over, there won't be anything to play. try flying across the united states with pre-recorded chatter ;-)

ahh now I get it lol.. I remember when I first installed RC I flew in the US.Three flights so far and everything is working great. The only problem I have is I get scolded for not tuning my radio fast enough. Is there a way to change how long the controller will wait before I can contact the next controller? It seems like immediately after he tells me to contact the next controller, he's saying "I SAY AGAIN" lol.. Jeff
