February 9, 200719 yr Hi All, Just partially rebuilt my machine and have FSX on my E: Drive. Would it be best to install RC on my FSX drive or on my main drive? Or does it even make a difference. Thanks in advance. Craig
February 9, 200719 yr Moderator Craig,I'd be inclined to install it on a separate partition to FSX mainly to minimise fragmentation issues with FSX. I'm guessing your E drive is a single partition on the drive. You could consider partitioning it so that RC and FSX have their own discrete areas. In reality it probably wouldn't affect the performance of either but I'm a keen fan of avoiding fragmentation :-)Cheers, Ray (Cheshire, England). February 9, 200719 yr Author Ray, Yes...E: is a single partition. I was leaning in that direction. Are you using RC4 ? Any idea how much room it takes?? Thanks, Craig
February 9, 200719 yr Moderator Hi Craig,<I switch between 4 and 5. I need to keep up to speed with 4 for you guys ;-)It occupies 1.44Gb. If you allow for 5-10Gb you'll have enough space for v5 when it comes. Don't hold your breath ;-)Cheers, Ray (Cheshire, England).
