Got the error "IPC request contains bad data" after loading a flight plan and selecting start. Running version 4.3.3843 with FSXAny ideas?

i'm assuming that fsx is running when you click the start rc button?what version of fsuipc are you running with fsx?

Yes, correct assumption, FSX is indeed running before I click start. My version of fsuipc is only 1 month old. Weird thing is that it was working fine a week ago. Just to be sure I d/loaded the lasted fsuipc, no change.

widefs?are you using vista? i know there are issues with vista firewall and fsx and fsuipc. i think pete has that documented somewhere in the readme or on his website

Negatve. Running XP, no widefs.

i know, and it didn't tell me what i wanted to know. i was hoping you could duplicate the problem, and there would be more in the .logjd

Welp, I've uninstalled, re-installed, same issue. here is the new log

Ok, got it. Looks like one of my many new installs loaded an older version of fsuipc for some ungodly reason. Re-installed fsuipc v4 after uninstalling a few older programs.

that's why it is alway important to verify the version number, not just assume it is the latest. glad it's working for youjd
