March 6, 200719 yr When I restart using a saved 'RCD' file with the PSS 757, I cannot get the autopilot to work at all. Yet if I save the situation using the normal FS9 save facility, it works ok.Would appreciate any thoughts/help.
March 6, 200719 yr Commercial Member do you mean the copilot on comms or the copilot flying the plane.the rc copilot cannot fly this plane, regardless of saving a .rcd file or notjd JD Read my blog

Yet if I save the>situation using the normal FS9 save facility, it works ok.>>Would appreciate any thoughts/help.I'd bet the problem is that the PSS aircraft is not being triggered to save its state information when RC saves the .rcd. This happens with the LDS767 as well. The problem is that some add-ons are not detecting the 'save situation' action when it is triggered via the FSUIPC interface. If you save situation via the FS menu - I bet all works fine. Before recovering a saved situation via a .rcd, do the following:1. Make sure RC is not running and start FS:2. Load the situation associated with the .rcd file. 3. Pause the sim. 4. Program the aircraft FMC and establish the a/c configuration (panel settings, etc). 5. Save the situation via the FS menu using the name of the .rcd file that you want to recover with. This will overwrite the .wx and .flt file but not the .rcd file (because RC is not running). It will create the necessary add-on specific recovery file.6. Start RC, load the .rcd file, and start the flight.7. Unpause FS and proceed with your flight.Hope this helps.-michael
March 10, 200719 yr MichaelThankyou for taking the time to reply to me.I did exactly as you suggested, but when I reached item 6 in your list, the .rcd file was no longer present, albeit it was prior to the process.I will save another flight and try again to see if I get the same results. Thanks againRob
March 10, 200719 yr MichaelI tried a second time. I loaded the situation in FS9 and the autopilot was working fine. I then saved it using the file name provided by RC4 and started Radar Contact and once again the autopilot stopped working.Rob
March 10, 200719 yr I have the answer.I also enquired on the PSS forum and was pointed to the following message.http://forums.avsim.net/dcboard.php?az=sho...12761&mode=fullThis seems to solve the problem.Thank youRob

Try this:Start a flight and while airborne save the situation using RC4.Stop RC, stop FS.Rename the entire set of saved situation files to some other name. That is, rename the .flt, .wx and .rcd files.Start FS, and from within FS load the above renamed situation. Now, follow my steps from the previous post.See if this works ...BTW: do you save situations manually using RC or automatically using AutoSave?-michael
