ADV Display not showing

Featured Replies

Hi, I just bought Radar Contact, and I've followed the manual, but when I need to get the ADV Display to work...it doesn't. When I go to Modules in FS9 and click it, it hides it in the background so I can't see it. It's visible for a split second, but that's it. I'm running an Nvidia 8800GTS with the latest Nvidia drivers.-Tim

The "old" advdisp.dll that shows up in the modules dropdown is no longer used and needs to be removed. Move it out of you modules folder outside of FS9 for now.Be sure you are using more current versions of FSUIPC.dll available in a link in the one of the first topics. The RC menu window is now integrated in FSUIPC.dll. Overwrite an early version of FSUIPC.dll with the new version.Load up a flight in FS. Then go to the modules dropdown and click on FSUIPC to open its property pages. On the About and Register tab be sure FSUIPC Multiline Display is checked. (On mine I do not have Hide Single Line Messages checked.) Click OK.You will still not see the window until you load RC, load your flight plan and choose you preflight options, etc., and start RC. A semi transparent blue window should now appear that you can drag into place. You'll also find helpful answers here:http://www.jdtllc.com/FAQ.htm

Yep, that worked. Thanks!!
