Can't load .RCD file

Featured Replies

Hello All, I have been trying to load a saved RC rcd file but can't. I can save it no problem with the FS9 default Flights /Save flight menu. The file is being saved in the Documents and settings/flight simulator files folder and is also visible when I open the folder but if I try to load it from the RC4 menu then when prompted to "open" file, I get an error message saying the file could not be found. I have read the instructions in the manual and have tried all save possibilities but still can not load one. I would love to use this feature so any insight would be appreciated.Regards: Zsolt

is there a .flt and .wx file of the same name in the directory where the .rcd file is?

Hi JD, No, there is no .flt or .wx file present. Only a .rcd and a rc4 file I believe. Could it be saved somewhere else ?Zsolt

find out where fs is saving it's .flt and .wx files, and then press the rc's .flt/.wx button, and specify the same pathi need all 3 files to load a .rcd filejd

Thanks JD, it works like a champ now. I had the wrong file specified for the FLT/ WX path. I have two similiarly named folders and the one were FS saves the flight info was of course the right one. Thanks again: Zsolt
