April 7, 200719 yr Sometimes during the cruise phase of flight I hit the wx button.I hear local atis info but I'm not sure what airport this is from.is there anyway to know where the report is coming from?PS I can usually get the met report from Active SKY that I have running in parallel, but would like RC to perform this task sometimes.Eytan
April 8, 200719 yr Moderator Hi Eytan,RC will report weather from the closest wx station usually the one showing on AS6 or whatever wx program you use. It's not currently possible to identify that station using the RC interface.I'm interested in why you would want this info. When at cruise you're thousands of feet up and landing at one of the close airports is probably not an option.Just carry on using your wx program for the info. Ray (Cheshire, England). April 8, 200719 yr Author Well, let's say I'm just curious about the weather below me.it might be critical if I declare an emergency, in which case I would definitely want to know what the wx at the nearset airport is.Eytan
April 8, 200719 yr Moderator Hi Eytan,For the forseeable future I suggest you use AS6 for the airport weather you're interested in. There's an option on it to request anywhere in the world.Cheers, Ray (Cheshire, England).
