April 13, 200719 yr I have installed 4.2 on my Vista system and it is working properly. I just installed 4.3 in accordance with the instructions for a system running FS9 and FSX. When I ran the FS9 installation it was ok, selected the .flt/.wx button, browsed to my FS9 document folder. I didn't really seem to connect to the folder when I selected it, the path showed, but no real indication that I was making a selection. Selected 'ok'. I then ran the db rebuild and that went ok. I had to hand-type the FS directory;there was no browse (I don't know if this is normal). It then rebuilt the db over about 5 minutes. When I ran the FSX, I again selected the .flt/.wx button, browsed to the FSX document folder. Same look and feel as with FS9. I then ran the db rebuild. This time, it quickly indicated it was rebuilding and immediately the next screen popped (no delay and no indication anything was rebuilt). At the end of that process I received an error message "Runtime error 6 overflow".FS9 seems to be ok so far. When I try to open a flight plan in FSX, it shows the FS9 folder and flight plans. It seems that the .flt/.wx never successfully selected the FSX document folder.Does anyone have any idea what is happening here? I ran the RC installations with and without "as administrator" selected, same result. Thanks,Craigjjs

I deleted it and tried again as administrator. This time it installed the new database without error. BUT, the fsx RC installation is still linking to the Flight Simulator 9 document folder instead of the Flight Simulator X document. I presently have plans in the FS9 folder but none in the FSX folder. When I try to open a plan it shows the FS9 plans, instead of an empty folder. Could RC be going to the wrong folder because there is nothing in the correct folder? I will build a plan for FSX later and try again.Craig
April 13, 200719 yr I created a plan in FSX and put in the empty FSX document folder. Nothing changed, When I try to open a plan it still opens the FS9 document folder. I selected the correct folder again and retried. Same problem. I cannot get my second installation to select the FSX document folder. I ran as administrator.Craig

I have not been using shortcuts or the start bar. I have been going into the actual folders and clicking on the .exe.Craig
